Training of scientific cadresJoint Institute for High Temperatures of the Russian Academy of Sciences runs post-graduate and doctorate courses for preparing highly qualified scientific cadres.Three boards are active at the Institute dealing with doctoral dissertations in the fields of: • plasma physics, thermophysics, and theoretical heat engineering; • mechanics of liquid, gas, and plasma, energy systems and complexes; • electrophysics, electrical facilities (in cooperation with Institute of Theoretical and Applied Electrodynamics of the Russian Academy of Sciences). The selection and rearing of next generations of scientists start from the school days. Three science-training centers cooperate with major educational establishments such as Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, Moscow State University, Moscow Institute of Engineering Physics, Moscow State Technical University, Moscow Institute of Power Engineering, and Moscow State University of Informatics. Two major chairs of Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology are functioning at JIHT, namely, the Chair of physics of high temperature processes and the Chair of physics of high energy densities. |
